POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts
What kinds of e-mail accounts can be found? Which type should you choose when you configure your e-mail program?
If you have a domain name and a hosting plan for it, you’ll be able to create email accounts for personal or business purposes and to set them up with email clients such as Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail. In the meantime, you’ll be able to select one of the two most popular email protocols – IMAP or POP3. The first one will allow you to check all messages, but they will remain on the server, whereas with the second one, all messages will be downloaded to the device where the mailbox is created, unless you explicitly choose a copy to be saved on the server. Thus, you can choose if you’d like all your electronic correspondence to be stored on one single device, or if you’d rather be able to examine the emails from many places. The latter option is rather valuable for corporations where a number of people working on separate machines need to gain access to a particular email account.
POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Hosting
Each and every cloud hosting plan that we offer will enable you to create email accounts with any domain name hosted under your account and to set them up on any device. During the setup procedure, you can pick between the IMAP and the POP3 email retrieval protocols, as we offer support for both, so you can decide which one to rely on based on your preferences and the purpose of your email account – you may choose to download all email messages if you’ve got a personal account and to leave the messages on the server – if you’ve got a business account, for example. The Email Manager tool, which is integrated into our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel, enables you to download and run a small configuration file, so as to set up a mailbox with an email software app – Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail. You can even use your mobile phone to view your emails and we have included an exhaustive tutorial on how to do this on an iPhone or an Android phone.
